Irrigation
The irrigation is done bringing water from the river with a Diesel 120 HP motor, which uses 6 to 10 litres of fuel per hour (depending on the volume and height of the river) and a bomb of 1.200.000 litres per hour. This requires a government authorization that the farm has obtained which is free and has no expiration date.

The first poplar
The water is distributed in through irrigation channels, which siphons off the water to the irrigation ditches with cement lock gates. This system needs a man’s day work to water 10 hectares.

Cattle breeding
The actual main activity is cattle breeding.
The farm has a total production of 950 Angus cows (mothers) with 70% weaning (670 steers per year), the bulls needed (approx. 40) and 120 “vaquillonas” (growing cows).
We have been able to have a complete production that buys the bulls and sells 550 steers and 100 old cows per year and produces approximately 120.000 kilograms of meat with an extraordinary low cost.
The irrigated grass production with eating and stocking purposes would allow increasing meat production.

Ecological Value
The farm is situated on a plateau with terraces, ravines, hills and lagoons with natural bushes and a large wildlife. You can find American ostriches, guanacos, pumas, wild boars, patagonic hares, red foxes, “martinetas” (a kind of partridge) and many types of birds.
This provides ecological value to the land for outdoor tourism, hunting, fishing, photography and bird watching
